Austin Design Week

Austin Design Week (ADW) launched in the fall of 2016, quickly becoming an annual hub for the local creative community. But long before the event went live, a team of dedicated volunteers worked to bring this vision to life. I was lucky enough to lead digital marketing for Austin Design Week's first three years. 

My team developed the ADW content strategy, social media brand style guide, and real-time engagement plans that were used until the event went on pause in 2021 due to concerns related to COVID-19. 

As an event series for designers, it was important that every aspect of ADW's online presence also be well designed. We used design thinking principles to develop our strategy, intentionally chose Gram-worthy aesthetic styling for our content, and ensured each piece of copy was written with purpose.
